Feedthrough components from EPCOS can be used to suppress interference in all electrical installations and equipment. The new series is also ideal for telephone switching systems and base stations. Effective broadband suppression up into the gigahertz range enables these components to prevent interference pulses, coming from the outside through the power supply network, from entering the equipment and vice versa. Key design features of this new series are the modular structure of manufacturing standardized units and the solder-free technology of contacting (MeshContact) developed by EPCOS. The MeshContact allows an even concentric contacting of MKP capacitor windings and avoids the thermal stress caused by soldering. The result is an even higher insertion loss, a high insulation resistance plus compact and small casing. The structure of manufacturing standardized units available in this new technology allows a broad standard spectrum of feed-through capacitors and filters with an attractive price/performance
ratio. Components with customer-specific capacitance can be supplied on request. UL certification for feedthrough components is pending.
